Our dear son, brother, uncle and friend Thomas
Joel, also known as Teejay was in a very serious auto accident
on August 10th and was in the hospital
until September 20th. During
this time he has undergone more surgical procedures then we can count and
with several complications, one being an infection. He had to
have one of his legs amputated below the knee, then later an amputation
above the knee because the extent of muscle damage in his upper lower leg.
The above-the-knee amputation has its advantages and disadvantages in
light of both mobility and his diabetes.
As the sole owner of a one man business,
iamteejay.com, Teejay had no health insurance. The
cost of the medical and hospital bills, not to mention the prosthetic leg
he will have to have, as well as the loss of work will wield a devastating
financial blow to him. Add to
that the emotional adjustment he will undergo and you can understand why
we are taking action. We have set up this web page for him to lesson the
financial blow and to let him know
he is being supported.
